Have y'all ever been with a man?....
Warning: Spoilers
Spoofs are rife these days, and then with the appearance of a new Scary Picture, Marlon Wayans pulls a joker and spoofs Paranormal Activity et al.
And the results are very mixed.
He moves his girlfriend in, then the bumps in the night begin. But it doesn't just spoof the start picture, information technology spoofs the second, The Devil Inside, Quarantine, and The Blair Witch Project.
The first affair you realise when watching this, is how much sexual content in that location is in the moving picture. Fair plenty, a couple of 'premature' scenes would make you giggle in a teen sort if way, but when stuffed toys, rape, and other are mentioned or depicted 10 fold, you lot know that the writers are clutching at straws.
The bandage are totally fine, Swardson steals the show as the camp sidekick, and Cedric the Entertainer is bright as the ex-con priest.
It's no Scary Picture, simply its much better than all the spoofs you've seen in the last x years.
There volition be something in hither that will make you lot smile, and for in one case it actually references the films information technology parodies, but, its aught new, and aught you've never seen before.

The parody is truly a lost art grade.
Warning: Spoilers
The parody is a lost art grade. While it all the same exists, it is no longer the witty rib on the subject material information technology was when films like "The Naked Gun," "Airplane" and fifty-fifty the first "Scary Movie" came out. At that place'due south no wit or bite to them, they are just "let's make this look like the bailiwick we are lampooning, throw in a Kardashian reference and and then a fart sound." "A Haunted House" is basically an unofficial Scary Pic sequel/spin-off that parodies the "constitute footage" genre—a genre that is already a joke and readily parodies itself by making each and every ane of the films the same over and over once more. The film sees Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) and his girlfriend Kisha (Essence Atkins) motion in together in a house that is basically an constructing of the first two houses in the "Paranormal Activity" franchise. Subsequently Kisha suspects some paranormal presences in the dwelling, Malcolm invites a security man (David Koechner) to install cameras and a psychic (Nick Swardson) to "read" the business firm. Pretty soon the hauntings beginning to get more frequent and tearing until the demon ultimately possesses Kisha. And somewhere during this, I guess there are some jokes and gags.
This film feels less similar a parody of the "Paranormal Activity" films during much of its running length and more like a potential spin-off of the serial. For nearly the first half-60 minutes of the film, the flick is prepare-up simply like every other "PA" film with Malcolm getting a camera and becoming increasingly (and very unhealthily) obsessed with filming every aspect of their daily lives until the first moments of a haunting offset--and then he gets MORE cameras! In that location might accept been some jokes in the course of Wayans hamming information technology up for the photographic camera simply, for the about part, these sequences were simply equally inane and as boring as the opening to whatsoever typical "plant footage" film.
In one case the jokes and the "humor" actually starts, I found I was just every bit silent and as stoic as I was during the first function of the pic. All the jokes come from either bottom of the barrel fart and private role jokes, parodies of sequences from the "found footage" films they are mocking that are just shoe-horned into the story (and when they don't feel completely out of identify, are just painfully unfunny) and argument-style banter between characters that are overflowing with pop culture metaphors and stereotypes that are more than annoying than humorous. In fact, most of the moving-picture show is taking references, stereotypes and parody sequences and beating them over and again till they are no longer recognizable as a potentially comedic scene and just become grating and hard to sit through.
Really, everything about this is predictable and platitude with no existent breaths of fresh air placed in it. Occasionally, I found myself laughing merely, in all honesty, I laughed only twice at something Marlon Wayans did and the residue of the time I was just silent.
Marlon gives off some straight-laced performances only they are just lost in a string of nonsense from those around him and performances that reek of the scenery that Koechner,Swardson and Cedric the Entertainer just chewed on. The remainder of the cast look like they were just goofing around on set up, trying to charm each other, and the managing director merely said, "Cut, we'll piece of work with that." Even so,everyone pales in comparison with the really, truly, immensely atrocious functioning of Essence Atkins. Atkins is just difficult to watch. She pretty much overacts every scene she'south in to the point it's like watching a person parody the parody that they are performing in. Fifty-fifty Swardson looked somewhat decent compared to her.
Shockingly, withal, I was really impressed with the film'due south effects. The haunting sequences look actually good and are well-nigh on par with anything seen in the "Activeness" films. However, this doesn't make the film funnier, information technology only makes it wait more like a spin-off of the franchise.
"A Haunted House" is, plain and simple, non funny. The two amusing moments it did present to me did nothing to allow the classification of this moving-picture show every bit a comedy or even a well-thought out parody/satire. The film feels less like a comedy and more like a collection of YouTube videos of people using their camera phones to make poorly feathered out "Paranormal Action" send ups. This movie is proof that the art of the parody is not an easy 1 and just doing some poop jokes in a scene that looks like the scene from the movie you lot are mocking doesn't constitute a parody.

Stupid, but entertaining!
Let's get this direct correct now: I appreciate good movies. Was this a good movie? No, in fact it was pretty stupid. Will people hate it? Absolutely. Did I savor it? A whole lot. I don't know what it was about this moving-picture show, but at times I could non stop myself from laughing. In my head I knew it was stupid, simply I just didn't care. Information technology's young, raunchy, and ridiculous, but I loved information technology. The only Marlon Wayans movies I like, along with this 1, is the commencement Scary Movie, and White Chicks. All three of them were pretty stupid. But that'due south the point. Sometimes y'all but have to see those movies that are obviously not good, but volition entertain you lot. I love good, well made movies equally much as the adjacent guy, only I also savor just kick back and watching a movie that will keep me smiling for xc-120 minutes. So if you're bored, accept $7-$x, and an hr and a half to burn, scout this movie.

I Wasn't Expecting to Say This But Information technology'southward Very Funny
A Haunted Business firm (2013)
*** (out of iv)
Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) moves his girlfriend Kisha (Essence Atkins) in with him and soon they start to see the paranormal. Look, I'll freely admit that I walked into A HAUNTED Firm with incredibly low expectations but within the first minute I had tears running downward my face up from laughing and so hard. I'll acknowledge that I'grand shocked at how much I enjoyed this thing but unlike SCARY MOVIE and other spoofs, this motion-picture show hither isn't just a copycat of the films it'south spoofing simply instead it's actually a well idea out one-act that has a lot of imagination that takes it downwardly various funny roads. If you've seen SCARY MOVIE (or endless other spoofs) so you know there's e'er going to exist some pot jokes. Well, this film here contains a pot gag and information technology was one of the funniest scenes I've seen in any motion picture in a very long fourth dimension. The majority of the gags really hit their marker, which is so impressive considering that they're being thrown at the very every few seconds. As you'd expect the majority of the jokes are vulgar and cheap but what's most important is that they're funny. Nosotros get fart jokes, gay jokes, racial jokes also as making fun of endless horror movies and they all work. Wayans turns in one of his funniest performances is ages and his scene in the bathtub is just downright classic in oh so many ways. Atkins is besides extremely good in her office and takes a lot of abuse just the two have such smashing chemistry that y'all tin can't assistance simply laugh. Nick Swardson, David Koechner, Dave Sheridan and Cedric the Entertainer play the people who get involved with the ghosts and all add some terrific laughs. A HAUNTED Business firm wasn't made to win Oscars or exist taken serious. Information technology's a spoof and for the most part it'southward really a lot amend than many of the films that information technology'due south making fun of.

Very funny for a half hour so started to repeat itself. Better then the contempo Scary Moving picture movies though. I say B-.
"You fabricated a deal with the devil for a pair of shoes? Not shoes Malcolm!!! Louboutins OK, they've got red soles and they make my calves pop. I really needed them OK!" Malcolm (Wayans) and Kisha (Atkins) have moved in together and are excited to kickoff their new life together. When strange things start to happen they await for answers and narrow information technology downward to i thing. A ghost is messing with them. This is some other motion-picture show that is pretty much what you lot would look. Funnier then the contempo Scary Flick movies simply after a half hour it seemed to run out of ideas and started to repeat itself. The offset half 60 minutes was actually funny though. The movie spoofs the Paranormal Activity and Last Exorcism movies so if you lot have seen those this will be funnier. The dialog is funny and this is worth watching but don't expect to laugh all the way through, unless y'all like the same joke over and over. Overall, very funny for awhile then runs out of steam. I requite it a B-.

Should be exorcised as presently as possible
The Wayans brothers have a terrific track tape during the beginning of their career, with the SNL-similar skit-prove In Living Color and the first two Scary Movie films. Then, as the 2000's pushed on, they veered off into the course of juvenile sense of humour, focusing on nothing only the realms of farts, crudeness, and language, all of which I can express joy at and enjoy when handled with wit and middle. But when so many nonsensical humor $.25 are thrown at the audience and there's nix substantial worth sticking around for, the finish issue is a tedious and utterly uninteresting endeavor.
Shawn Wayans, however, is absent-minded from A Haunted House, leaving his blood brother and longtime co-worker Marlon to pick upward the slack. The thought and idea I always manage to encounter when viewing one of their films or, to broaden this up, a parody movie, is that the cast and crew definitely had a good time making this picture, what will all the idiocy that could drum upwardly knowing that a overnice, shiny lump-sum of cash would await them opening weekend. However, when I sit down through an eighty-one minute parody, given nothing just extended fart gags, annoying characters, ridiculously crass sex scenes, and a minute and a one-half sequence of a grown human having sex with a teddy carry, I don't laugh, I wince and afterwards recollect the experience sourly.
The story concerns a young couple, Malcolm and Keisha (Marlon Wayans and Essence Atkins), who optimistically move in together into a beautiful new suburban home. Malcolm decides that this unforgettable time in his life needs to exist recorded prolifically, so everything we run into in this motion picture is recorded from Malcolm's personal camera. Soon, things go frighteningly paranormal every bit the immature couple experiences loud, abrupt pangs in the middle of the dark, haunting screams coming from who knows where, and the obligatory series of things falling from the ceiling and off the table for no apparent reason. When Malcolm learns that information technology's Keisha's presence that makes these paranormal activities occur, he decides to hire people similar David Koechner, Cedric the Entertainer, and Nick Swardson (aka laugh devices to push button the story over eighty minutes long) to try and exorcise the demons from their home.
Within the starting time few minutes of the film, nosotros become our showtime hateful-spirited, completely uncalled for joke which involves Keisha, who pulled into the driveway and ran over Malcolm's dog. What follows is a frantic chase to revive the dog using jumper cables and CPR, before Malcolm decides to run downward the street, domestic dog in artillery, screaming for medical help. I reiterate for the umpteenth fourth dimension that brute abuse in films is unwarranted, exploitative, and unnecessary, and to brand sense of humour out of it is lower than relying on toilet sense of humor.
A Haunted Firm may not capitalize off of the "how many movies can we lampoon and how many references can we make in ninety minutes?" theme that has made Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer then successful with their long line of "Movie" movies, just information technology fails largely because of its persistency to brand unfunny things seem funny and implement an outdated parody.
And so your film is making fun of Paranormal Activity and tries to sustain that gimmick by mocking the series' stupidity and incredulity for eighty-ane direct minutes? Congratulations? The fact of the affair is that the series has been parodied so many times that in gild to make a new parody of it funny, yous really must try to have sly writing and witty banter. Not but idiotic situations over and once more, occupied by unnecessary shouting, four-letter of the alphabet words, chaotic mishaps, senseless misunderstandings, and lunacy. Information technology's like making a parody for The Blair Witch Projection and Twilight in 2013. Information technology'southward no longer a question of "what tin nosotros brand funny?" it's a question of "what is at that place left to brand fun of?" A Haunted House, unfortunately, predicates itself off of the lowest mutual denominator of humor. It's repetitive, dreary, and lazy in its efforts to make humor out of the Paranormal Activity franchise. Instead of going for the low-brow work, making a parody film that doesn't seem to care about the quality of its work, Marlon Wayans would've been better to just round upwards his brother and attempt a satire or a comedic farce off of original material from his ain mind.
Perchance this sounds similar the movie you've been waiting to see for a while now. I suppose we must cherish stupid humor in a time of serious problems. Contrary to what some believe, I walked in with optimism that I would see a clever parody of a film series so tired and worn, already approaching its 5th installment this year. Ironically, I would've rather watched the forthcoming Paranormal Activity 5 than this. The jokes and setups are and then tiredly concocted and stale that, much similar the franchise being parodied here, you lot feel yous've seen it all before and the element of surprise has evaporated into thin air. I render to the argument I fabricated in my review of Movie 43 that the spoof/skit genre is uniformly expressionless and, at this point, is simply awaiting a ceremony and a funeral.
Starring: Marlon Wayans, Essence Atkins, Cedric the Entertainer, Nick Swardson, David Koechner, and Dave Sheridan. Directed by: Michael Tiddes.

Not equally bad every bit y'all're led to believe, but still pretty flimsy
*ane/two out of **** (ROTTEN)
Channel the New year's day. Already in the 2d week, the Tomato Meter is at its lowest- a dashing vii percent, and with a spoof movie. This cannot finish well. I volition acknowledge, the trailer had me chuckling. I'k big on stereotypical humor, and from time to time I like to succumb myself to just stupid, dumb fun. Being a fan of the starting time Scary Moving-picture show certainly doesn't hurt matters.
With that being said, "A Haunted House" is exactly what you'd expect... and not much else. In terms of humor, the ratio's about 2:5. That might seem like a bad marking, which information technology is, just for a film that aims at the everyman common denominator and scores a higher denominator, information technology'south not too shabby. Acting/story, well, you don't go to these kinds of movies for that. Same goes for editing/choreography.
There's not much you tin say virtually this film. This is one of those cases where y'all either are the audience FOR this film or you're not. If you're a fan of the commencement two Scary Movies, have an admiration for the Wayans brothers, and dig the advertisements for this picture, you'll walk out of at that place with some good laughs hither and there. If y'all completely despise these movies, or this blazon of humor in general, you'll walk out feeling cheated.
However, be warned, this is Non a kids motion-picture show (ala a Jason Friedberg/Aaron Seltzer production or even the concluding Scary Movies that were PG-xiii). Tons of sex scenes (played for laughs though), nudity, drugs, and such abound.
All in all, it'southward non as bad as you're led to believe, only information technology'southward still pretty flimsy.

Under-rated film worth seeing
Whether or not this moving-picture show was stereotypical should exist ready aside for reviews. Focus on the main parts of this picture show which were to utterly make fun of paranormal action and the devil inside. I felt like this movie is nether-rated. I thought they got straight into funny and absolutely making fun of paranormal activity 1 very apace. The first scene was based on making fun of the photographic camera work of paranormal action in the bed room. Although these sorts of comedies are e'er a stupid sort of funny, I laughed throughout this moving picture, especially at the graphic symbol of Fleck the psychic; whose principal goal is to bring out the gay demons in Malcolm the main character. I had a good laugh and if you tin can score some tickets for cheap its not a bad, make you express mirth at stupid one-act, type of moving-picture show.

You've probably seen better
Oh, beloved - how best to depict 'A Haunted Firm'... it's the sort of unofficial sequel to the outset couple of 'Scary Film' films, only the people who made the get-go ii didn't render for the next x (or even so many sequels they've made past the time you lot read this). And then, instead of having anything to practise with the parody of 'Paranormal Activity' which is basically what 'Scary Movie 5' is based on, Marlon Wayans, is doing his own spoof.
If you've actually seen Scary Movie five before you've watched this... then I wouldn't bother. Both parody Paranormal Activeness and use the same 'slapstick formula' jokes. A Haunted House uses a little more than 'risky' humor, but information technology's primarily people tripping over or getting upwards to sexual shenanigans.
Simply is it funny? Well, it'due south about as funny every bit whatever fifth motion-picture show in a one-act franchise (fifty-fifty though it's technically not role of the Scary Picture show franchise, you could be mistaken for thinking it is). Was Police Academy v as funny equally the first? If you're thinking of watching this, you'll get a couple of laughs and smirks here and there, but information technology's not great.
If you like horror parodies, stick with the first Scary Motion-picture show. Since then it'south been pretty striking and miss from there on. It might keep you tickled if you plant it on TV tardily at night and were slightly tipsy.

There's A Ghost In The House With Some Serious Life Issues.
I am a large fan of spoof comedies and when it comes to spoofing, who is ameliorate than the Wayans Bros. Fifty-fifty the ones in the Lesser 250 are my favorites.
But, A Haunted House isn't much of any genre that it boasts off. There are some ridiculously funny scenes out there and you lot will laugh your tum out. Simply the rest 60 % of the total 80 minutes will diameter the hell out of you - conversations, clichéd plot points and vague sequences. When you spoof Paranormal Activeness & The Devil Inside, you shouldn't just copy, but invent. And I personally feel, the plot could've been a little more than Wayanic. And I found only the pb actors funny; the residue were ideal.
You should not visit a theater for this and can easily pass or wait for the DVD. But, if you are a spoof-lover and dig Scary Movie franchise, The Disaster Picture show, Epic Picture & Dance Moving picture, this is for you!

I loved this movie, I could go back to meet it once again. I laughed so difficult. The comedy was refreshing, It's been a while since I can retrieve a picture that left me laughing like this motion-picture show did. It was a change from most recent movies based on drama (killings, kidnapping and etc...). I would tell anyone who likes to laugh this is the picture to see. It was nice to encounter Marlon Wayans independent from his family. I loved each and every character, Marlon Wayans, Essence Atkins and Cedric The Entertainer were fantastic in the flick, but if I have a favorite it would accept to exist "Fleck the Psychic". Just sitting here writing this is making me express mirth and recollect about the movie. Don't just take my word for information technology Get Run across Information technology!

Ghost motion picture
That is what the movie is chosen in Federal republic of germany. But no thing what y'all call it, it'due south not good. Not a expert spoof and not a proficient movie past far. Comparing Scary Movie v to it, would brand Scary Movie 5 a phenomenal moving-picture show (it isn't of course). Things that become spoofed here do not piece of work. Why practise they fail to piece of work? Because they do the one thing wrong many spoofs do wrong! Characters not being serious, but trying to be funny while doing something funny. The act itself should serve that purpose, but it never does.
You can spoof people being slided effectually on the flooring, but information technology takes away almost everything that comes subsequently it. Information technology is filled with racial stereotypes, rape/fart jokes/skits and homophobia in general. The latter nether the disguise of making fun of it. Unfortunately declining completely and therefor only being executed poorly (a fate you wish upon the characters themselves). Marlon Wayans can be a adept role player (which he has proved in Requiem for a dream), but watching this (and some of his other "work") you wonder if that might have been a fluke

A Better Scary Moving-picture show v
Good watch, would scout again, and can recommend.
It'south almost like the Wayans had their Scary Movie franchise taken abroad from them, and they said, "We learned a lot, and Scary Movie three wasn't all that. Let'south keep making parodies!"
So past the fourth dimension they made this, it was a ameliorate Scary Picture 5.
Focusing on making fun of the 15 Paranormal Activity movies, Marlon and Kisha nail their roles alongside a quality stable of supporting actors.

Hilarious Horror Spoof from Marlon Wayans!!!
Alarm: Spoilers
Basically, "A Haunted House" (2013) qualifies as a clever carbon copy parody of the found footage chiller "Paranormal Activity," but told entirely from an African-American perspective. Director Michael Tiddes and leading human being Marlon Wayans parlayed this $2.5 one thousand thousand one-act into a box office bonanza. The Open up Road release netted approximately $forty meg at the box office. The film opens with an eerie prologue: "In October of 2012, the following video footage was found in the habitation of Malcolm Johnson. The events recorded are still unexplained. In "A Haunted Firm," Malcolm Johnson (Wayans) and his girlfriend Kisha Davis (Essence Atkins) move into a new house to live to together. An evil spirit that cannot accept enough sex possesses Kisha and transformed her into a nymphomaniac in voodoo make-up. Predictably, everything spiraled out of control for this cute African-American couple and yielded loads of laughs along the way. Of course, our hero arrayed his residence with surveillance cameras galore to catch the ghosts in the deed. He bought his camera from Best Purchase and has trouble initially using the camcorder considering he has left the lens cap on it. Eventually, he brings in a gay psychic (Nick Swardson of "Grandma's Boy") named Bit to prowl the premises. More often than not, Chip spends the entire 86-infinitesimal movie trying to seduce Malcolm. Some of the scenes here are recycled in "A Haunted House two." For example, when Kisha arrives at their new house with her convertible loaded with her property, she runs over Malcolm's dog Shiloh. Desperate to resuscitate his pet canine, Malcolm resorts to auto jumper cables and blowing air up his doggie butt before he scrambles off toward the hospitable. Another scene that Tiddes and Wayans recycle occurs when Kisha promises Malcolm that she volition slip into something more than comfy, and an amorous protagonist provides u.s. with a sex tutorial. He strips naked and makes dear to a domestic dog, a puppy, and a duck. Mind you, all these animals are plush toys, but Wayans knows no bounds for ridiculing himself and this hilarious scene ranks as borderline offensive. Of course, if you cannot tolerate shenanigans like these, then "A Haunted Firm" is probably not for yous.

It's a Good Express joy, Not Oscar Winning, But Decent
Okay if you've seen the first Scary Movie and laughed, you'll find this funny. I like silly/impaired funny so I was cracking upwards at many parts. Some folks are looking for witty, award winning comedy, full of heartfelt all-around good jokes. If this is you, skip out on this ane. Overall, I'd give it a 6.5/7. Some parts were simply dumb, just that'south to be expected. If you have 10 bucks, an hr and a half, and yous wouldn't mind a laugh or two, I say become for information technology. If you're looking for wit, class, and style, keep it moving. Withal unsure? Okay I'll tell you the picture, without spoiling it. Basically a guy has his girlfriend movement into his firm. He's skeptical, considering his friends take warned him about the dangers of having a girlfriend motion in, ya know, no more dream-girlfriend. Anyways, she moves in and stuff starts getting weird. With the increasing weirdness, more than characters are introduce to aid finish the weirdness. Information technology's a motion picture with a simple plot, simple characters, and a silly catamenia. If this sounds good to you, you'll dear information technology!

Great Comedy
I am giving this motion picture a "nine". I loved this moving picture, every scene was hilarious. I don't empathise why the picture show critics are so disquisitional of this movie, to me a "spoof" is just like "a roast" it is meant to be funny and sometimes delivered in a risqué manner. Bravo Marlon... Y'all did a fantastic task with this. I can non look to go run across it again plus buy the movie when information technology comes out. Everyone in my political party was laughing and still laughing today and nosotros send it 2 days ago. I thought my boyfriend was going to pee his pants he was laughing and so hard. Not That Funny! 2/10
Review: This movie is full of stupid jokes that aren't really that funny. Marlon Wayans makes a correct fool out of himself throughout the picture, alongside his wife, who is played by Essence Atkins and Cedric The Entertainer. I knew what to wait before watching the picture, so I wasn't that surprised with the effect. There was a couple of scenes that made me chuckle, only information technology's not a movie that I would be watching again in a hurry. On the plus side, information technology non that long so you will exist put out of your misery earlier you lot fall asleep. Disappointing!
Round-Up: In true Scary Movie fashion, this movie is full of references to other movies only it based around the original Paranormal Activeness, but not done that well. You actually accept to have a warped sense of sense of humor to find these movies funny or fifty-fifty slightly interesting. In its favour, the film doesn't look inexpensive the CGI was half decent, merely that about information technology. I just hope that they put a cease to these ridiculous spoofs. With the profit that this pic has made, I'm sure that there is more to come
Budget: $ii.5million Worldwide Gross: $40million
I recommend this movie to people who,are into the Scary Flick franchise. ii/10

A Few Chuckles At Best
nebk v February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
OK, here is a quick review of A Haunted Business firm. Information technology basically follows the premise of Paranormal Activity. A couple in a business firm gets menaced by a ghost/demon, with what are supposed to be comic results. There is a lot of toilet humor and mostly unfunny jokes. There are sexually based jokes and more toilet humor. At that place is some stuff flying around, some demonic possession and...yep you lot guessed it, more than toilet humor. At that place is the obligatory nod to The Exorcist (the infamous crucifix scene). There is an exorcism performed by a gay psychic, a priest who is a criminal and guys who install home security systems and are making a ghost evidence. And that's about it. More or less. To be off-white there are a few funny scenes just these are far and few in-between and not worth watching the whole movie for.
Overall it's better than Scary Movie five, Appointment Movie and the aptly named Disaster Movie, merely that's not saying much. There are many improve parodies and spoofs out there starting with the iconic Airplane! and all the way besides Scary Flick, its sequels and even Superhero Picture show. Yous should do yourself a favor and lookout 1 of those instead.

Silly fun
Marlon Wayons invites his girlfriend to live with him but unbeknown to him she carries a haunting undercover. Marlon sets his house up'Paranormal Activity' style with cameras in the business firm and the film does become a spoof of that film. In that location are some laugh out loud moments merely I'd exit this by saying it was an average comedy.

A pleasant surprise
First off, if you go into this movie with high expectations, y'all'll hate it, plain and uncomplicated. But if yous merely want to lookout a funny movie with some friends and then definitely give this moving-picture show a take chances! It's somewhat of a spoof on the "Paranormal Activity" films. Marlon Wayans plays the main character who buys a brand new video camera for the moving in of his girlfriend. He and so gets camera's set around his house for security purposes.
Right off the bat, his girlfriend suspects there's a ghost in the house and like in the "Paranormal" films he doesn't believe it. Some scenes are similar, but take a huge modify and it becomes funny. Certain some of the jokes are over the top but for the most function, are hilarious.
Cedric the Entertainer makes an appearance towards the cease of the film and his scenes are great. Lesser line, lookout man this movie to get a expert laugh. half dozen/x for exceeding my expectations.
